My First Film Poster

 

 

 

 

 

This was my first poster that I created for my film. Comments I received were that :

• it is "abstract"
• "very compelling"
• "take out the 2 heads and make the tunnel bigger"

 

I wanted a lot of images layered because they draw the eye in to the main image of the ghost women. The images get smaller as they get closer to the centre and it creates a tunnel like effect. I had a picture of the main protagonist David, in a low opacity in the background to give the poster more depth. I had my font in Viner Hand because it's quite like the poster for the Orphan. I had all the important information at the bottom of the poster like the billing block and the ratings as from research most posters had this.

 

 

 

this is the poster I was taking inspiration from for the layering of the images. I like how everything lines up

 

 

 I also liked the Seven poster as it had lots of different images and textures

 

 

 

 I used the Shutter Island poster to take inspiration of the bottom billing block because then the images on the top are more eye catching.
