First Notes/ Ideas For The Thriller Trailer

FIRST IDEAS -

I'm thinking of having a murder mystery and the main protagonist who will most likely by the detective ( a bit like Murder On The Orient Express) but towards the end, they cant come up with  a rational explanation and they realise its a ghost/ supernatural messing with them

• "what you don't know cant hurt you" - QUOTE IDEAS
• "like trying to light a match in the middle of the ocean"

• murder mystery - don't reveal the killer- could be a ghost?

• If the woman died in the underground- the tubes in London are very busy and packed for a modern audience

SHOT IDEAS -

• someone in a car as it drives away - something looking out of the back window - ghost
• the screen in the car when reversing- and someone appears - at night time
• a drop of blood in a bath - ripple effect - maybe reverse editing?
• lots of extreme close ups and then extreme long shots - uneasy feeling
• cctv under street lamp - something standing underneath it - put a black and white filter on it
• Bare feet in a field- BBC thriller The Missing had this in their title sequence  and it gave a great sense of vulnerability
• dirt under finger nails
• inference someone with the their eyes lids vertically slit - makes the audience feel uncomfortable
• close ups of eyes and lips
• happy memories integrated extreme panic - a girl laughing in a garden of flowers with someone/ something in the background - also use slow motion to increase the panic ( like the clip from the new IT remake of pennywise and the hair - projector scene)
• a picture of a person and someone/something looking through the eye holes
• I will also include social media handles at the end of the trailer
• if I go down the ghost storyline use old pictures - world war pictures of people in the tube  - the ghost is a victim of the bombing of the tube

PRODUCTION LOGO IDEAS

• iconography of a sphinx - if you call someone a sphinx it means  your calling them a mysterious person - I would have blood dripping from the eyes - eyes are the window to the soul. also the Sphinx has the body of a lion and the head of Pharaoh Kharfe. the sphinx is very out of proportion which is very unnerving to look at
• other words I am considering using are - Oracle, Conundrum, Witness and Charade - but I would link this with an oxymoron

• the ghost woman- if I use a name it will be a popular name in ww2 England like Margret or Mary
