This is my first draft of my Magazine Cover.
I called my magazine Inside Movies and I had the Movies in a bold elephant font as from research titles tend to be in bold stocky font so I wanted mine to stand out. I added a tagline "Cinematic Heaven" under the E and S so it lines up the images and text underneath. I've got the website under M and the O to line up with the tagline
the background is a tunnel - which references the film, - and the ghost woman just behind his shoulder to draw the eye back. its a dark background to represent the colour scheme of the thriller genre and also to make the writing more prominent.
the film title "The Tunnel" is in the same font I used in the poster and trailer which is Viner Hand because it makes it more recognisable
I kept my tagline "follow the tracks" below it because reminds the audience that its set around trains and also connects with the next lines - about the inside the magazine
I put the barcode and price in the right bottom corner as this is typically where it goes
and doesn't distract the attention of the main image the main image is Detective David Barnes in his costume looking quite stern
there's also other films mentioned on the cover to entice people to look and buy it
I used the icon of a film camera just to separate the text and the image and to draw attention to the ghost woman in the back. I also used a plus sign is red instead of writing plus because ive already used that in the red circle.
the puff is the red circle on the right which shows what issue number it is and also shows that a big article is inside
